Teen ranks living presidents

From the Press-Telegram letters to the editor ...

I am a senior in high school and (recently) our teacher asked us to rank the living presidents as to who was best and who was worst. I was the only one in my class to rank President Bush, our current president, as the best.

The rest of the class seemed to think I was crazy. But I stood my ground and had a chance to explain that I believe he had to go through so much more than any of the other presidents, especially 9-11. Through all of the many issues he has had to endure, he retains his integrity and his morals.

I got a lot of groans and grunts from my classmates, but I believe it. I think other students may feel the same as I do, but are afraid to say so because our teacher seems to dislike Bush.

I ranked Clinton as our worst president because he cheated on his wife in office and lied.

I am happy with my choices, despite what the others say.
